In dreams lay the greatest creations of mankind. Dreams don't have to obey the laws of physic, forgotten sceneries and murals, more mysterious than anything we could imagine. We wonder across these fantastic lands until our awakening turns this experience into a faint memory.
How would you describe the landscape in your dreams? While there are sometimes familiar elements, the scenery in your dreams may feel quite alien. More often than not, we are amazed that our brain can conjure up these sometimes otherworldly places. They are strangely beautiful, yet often liminal surroundings that we couldn't even conceive of when we are awake. Not only does our brain come up with interesting landscapes, but even the places we grew up in seem so strange at night. They are so familiar, yet so different. It's rather odd, considering that we should know these places better than that, right? It's as if two different realities collide to create these dreams...

What are dreamscapes?
The 'Dreapscapes' are pocket dimensions that are subconsciously created by a Noctarion at birth. These dimensions are inherently surreal and often resemble liminal spaces initially. These areas can be shaped by the Noctarion and serve as their homes.
What does a dreamscape look like?
When first entering the dreamscape, it appears as a grim reflection of the subconscious. It's empty, abandoned, yet somehow familiar. The area can be slowly shaped to one's will. If the Noctarion spends more time in it or visits their realm often, it starts to change. The creepy forest path can transform into a beautiful grassy field, an abandoned apartment into a cozy home and a dirty pond into a sparkling pool. While these areas can change drastically, they still maintain a somewhat liminal quality. For example: the forest next to the house never seems to end when you venture into it, but you find yourself back home within a minute if you turn back. Each dreamscape realm has one of these 'Labyrinth effects' built in, with the specific nature of the labyrinth depending on the area
Personalizing:
The “complexity” of one’s dreamscape depends on how long you choose to stay there. A simple garden will take 1-2 months, a castle will decades. The realms are 100% formed by your mind. While the laws of physic do not apply there, your sanity and mental state can have great effects on the area. Positive or negative.
There are no realm animals in your dreamscape. The dimension has an easier time replicating plants and fungi (not heavily moving) objects. Birds on the sky are merely silhouettes and the howling from the forest auditory hallucinations.
Your dreamscape can also have a "filter", making everything in your dimension monochrome, pastel or bright colors.

How does one enter the Dreamscape?
Sign that mark areas where you can enter your Dreamscape.
To enter it, you have to leave the main capitals and cross the borders into the wild. Entering your Dreamscape only works in these specific areas, and nowhere else within the realms. The terrain varies depending on the location, but it's usually some sort of forest. You must venture deep into that forest, making sure that nobody is following you.
You cannot transition from one dimension to another while under the gaze of an intelligent being.
The transition happens in an instant, and suddenly, you find yourself in your realm. You exit your realm in the same manner. The more you do it, the more you develop a 'feeling' for the process.
The transition occurs more rapidly when under stress. If you're being chased, you can obstruct the view by hiding behind a tree. The moment they lose visual contact, you can enter your realm.

Trivia
- Only a Noctarion can enter their own Dreamscape! No other Noctarions/Noctapod or other lifeform can be brought there. The only exception: A sleeping human (singular)
- Only Noctarions possess dreamscapes, no other beings within the locus.
- You can try to bring items/trinkets into your realm…but there is only a 70% chance it will travel with you. But once this item enters your dreamscape, it becomes “connected” to it and can always be brought home.
- Noctarions that were created through the human mind have a strong urge to wander into the wild to jump into their realm. This urge is a fundamental aspect of their nature.
- You cannot bring stuff that was created by your realm outside of it. They just vanish once you leave it.
- Due to the fact Noctarions loose some goods when trying to bring them to their dreamscape, scavenging for items is not an uncommon occurrence.
- When leaving your Dreamscape, you can appear anywhere in a radius of 20km from where you last left the plane.
- “Dead roads” are long desert-like paths. These are the savest way to walk through the area, since there are barely plants and covers.
- You cannot enter your dreamscape while flying over the area. You must have connection with the ground.
- Rangers often roam the forest area, hunting down hostile creatures, scavengers and thieves that pose a threat to Noctarions who just wanting to enter their realm. They are paid by their respective government.

The Wavebreaker
The “Wavebreaker” is an incident that happened around 230 years ago. Some believe, it used to be a government secret from the capital of Rugova to not concern the public, but there is no proof for that.
A view months ago, an anonymous source has released an old letter about the incident to a local press in the nightmare realm, where the news quickly spread. The C.C and other factions denied the autheticity of these documents, claiming it to be an elaborate hoax. Marking it as a “Conspiracy theory” and nothing more.

“No other Noctarion can enter someone’s dream realm…That’s what we thought. This night, something seems to have shattered the barrier between these dimensions…quite literary. A giant gaping hole seems to have appeared over the Kimender forest. The inside is difficult to describe, as if you would stand between two mirrors. The hole in the sky is slowly closing itself up, who knows how large it was before we noticed it.
It seems like nobody has the courage to enter it ether…And like typical nightdream fashion, it doesn´t appear as the overall population will be notified over this, I saw that a lot of contracts have been signed. The C.C and some faction agents forbid us to come closer, a shame really.
I do hope this image is enough for you to work with…We will see each other soon”
