North Noctapods are the second largest ones of the bunch, along with the kindest nature. Their dense fur not only protects them from colder climates but also forms a sizable mane around their necks. Individuals inhabiting warmer regions require weekly shavings to prevent overheating. Notably, their horns contain vividly hued liquids that react variably to their emotional states. Furthermore, North Noctapods exhibit exceptional swimming abilities and possess the only aquatic tail among their kin.

Prefered location:
North Noctapods prefer colder/very cold environments. They cannot stand desert/hot environments.
Body type:
Their bodies are large and a bit chubby. They are the second tallest Noctapods and can grow up to 5 Meters tall and weigh up to 6 Tons or more. All North Noctapods are covered in Fur, ones with only scales do not survive the low temperatures.
Unique abilities and features:
North Noctapods are renowned for their unparalleled endurance and robust resistance to cold climates, surpassing all other subspecies. Additionally, they boast exceptional swimming skills and an innate sense of empathy. Due to their hardy and reliable nature, they are commonly employed for work in frigid regions. They are fearless and fiercely protective of their riders, willing to make sacrifices to ensure their safety. Owing to their docile temperament, some North Noctapods are permitted to serve as mounts or assist the elderly as emotional support animals within the capital cities. In warmer environments, their fur requires frequent trimming to avoid discomfort.
Blood:
This subspecies has ether red blood or blue blood. Some North Noctapods don´t possess the protein hemoglobin to transport oxygen, they have hemocyanin instead. Noctapods with blue blood are a bit slower but withstand even colder temperatures and can dive deeper.
Appearance:
Horns:
The horns of North Noctapods are very smooth without sharp edges ecept the tip and hollow. A colorful fluid is visible inside the horn. No other objects can be trapped within the horn, since it would greatly disturb the Noctapods sense of balance, sense of direction and ability to communicate with others.
Belly:
The belly scales have a small iridescent effect. Its usually not as strong as the other subspecies and very light.
Tails:
Noctapods if this subspecies can ether have stadard (Mammal/reptile) tails or a fish/crustacean like tail.
